Armando was born and raised in Corpus Christi, TX. He came to know the LORD JESUS CHRIST at the young age of 9. Which happens to be the same age group he now speaks to.

Before coming to know JESUS, Armando had a strong hate and anger towards others, just because of skin color. He would go as far as causing harm on others because of their appearence. He was only doing what he knew others did. Stealing, cursing, and even smoking cigarettes where some of the other normal things he participated in, at such a young age.

As his parents re-united, moved away, and began to attend church once again, as they had when Armando was only a baby. Armando came to learn of JESUS and the LOVE JESUS had for all people. The church he attended was mostly full of black colored people and his Sunday school teacher was white.

(Please excuss my use of the words black and white people. I am not meaning to offend anyone. Just telling it how I know how, in order to give the proper feeling.)

He came to see that the black people where very nice. He seen them assist his family during times of need. He seen the way they welcomed his family. He saw the LOVE of JESUS that was in them, expressed in a great way.

He even noticed the same thing from the white lady, that was his Sunday school teacher. This lady became his spiritiual mother, who helped guide him through life as a young man.

Though his father fell away into a life of drungs and alcohol, leading him to be lock-up. Though his mother didn't continue to attend church. Though he was living in yet another environment where crime was normal. Armando compared the life of his family as they sought JESUS to the life when they didn't. It was then, that he choose to continue seeking JESUS.

He has not lived a perfect life and may have mad his share of mistakes. Yet, by the grace of the LORD and Savior JESUS, he is still seeking JESUS and serving in the church. He has a beautiful and loving wife who will soon give birth to their first child. He surely has found the "good thing" which the bible speaks of.
